Huntingburg, IN

Huntingburg, Indiana is a little gem of a small town not far from my home. Its historical downtown is full of little shops and restaurants. It's an antique hunter's paradise. At Christmas time they go all out, tinseling up their Main St. for the annual Christmas Stroll. In late summer it's calm and quiet, perfect for hours of strolling and coffee sipping. Jordan and I took one of our recent free days to do just that.

Fat and Sassy's is a staple of the town. The perfect little lunch and dessert spot.

Cool Beans is the resident coffee shop on Main St. We went in for a morning coffee and had the place almost all to ourselves. It also has a pretty extensive lunch menu of salads. sandwiches, and flatbreads, so we decided to come back later.

If only....

We both had Italian paninis with tomatoes, mozzarella, pesto, and prosciutto.

There's some beautiful old storefronts and lots of antiques on display lining the streets. This is my favorite storefront-Greentree. It holds a menagerie of clothes, jewelry, antiques, furniture, almost anything along those lines that you'd want.

You wouldn't know it from the outside, but Single Thread is a surprisingly hip boutique.

 XO,
Lo
